Norwegian smart lock company VingCard's Signature RFID+ compatible NFC mobile phone solution won the "Technology and Network Best Innovation Award" at the 2006 Paris International Hotel Equipment Exhibition.

Open the hotel door lock with an NFC phone
NFC is a new small-scale wireless technology that combines the functions of readers and cards. This year it will be applied to a new generation of mobile phones. In partnership with NXP (RFID RF Express: original Philips Semiconductors), hotels equipped with VingCard RFID smart locks can provide remote registration. Before arriving at the hotel, the customer can receive the hotel's reservation confirmation information, room number and encrypted room key code through the SMS message system, so that the customer can go directly to the room without registering, and the customer opens the room through the NFC-compatible mobile phone.
