Talk about Hp indigo liquid electronic ink

There are many factors that affect the quality of prints. Ink is one of the most important factors. With the continuous improvement of people's requirements for the quality of printed matter, correspondingly higher requirements have been put forward for inks. Not only do they require excellent quality of printed matter, but also meet various special needs such as environmental protection and anti-counterfeiting. Magnetic inks, fluorescent inks, photochromic inks, thermochromic inks, fragrance inks, and electronic inks have emerged.

Previously, electronic inks generally refer to inks containing fine particles of precious metals, and the particles therein are commonly referred to as conductive fillers. When this kind of ink is coated on the substrate and dried, it will rely on the fine conductive filler in the ink to form the circuit. Therefore, the ink is mostly used for the printing of circuit boards. Later, E-ink Corporation of the United States developed a microcapsule electronic ink, which is a kind of microscope that can see the liquid in the microcapsules containing different colors and has a tiny white bottom pad with a charge on the bottom pad. The microcapsules are sandwiched between two plastic films. The electrode network is distributed on the plastic film. The electromagnetic effect can determine whether the white base of the microcapsules is up or down. Therefore, text or images can be formed under the electromagnetic effect, and the information content can be According to different magnetic fields and updated at any time, this new technology is mostly used in display technology. There is now a new type of electronic ink suitable for use in offset printers. In digital printing, electronic inks have been used successfully as HPIndigo color digital printers. Let's briefly introduce the characteristics of the HP Indigo liquid electronic ink.

The HP Indigo Digital Press is a new type of digital offset press. Its workflow is: Before printing, the electronic document is processed by the image graphics software and sent to the printing machine via the RIP; during printing, the computer-controlled laser The photoconductor plate on the printing cylinder is scanned to form an electrostatic latent image on the plate, and then the corresponding color electronic ink is sprayed on the corresponding electrostatic latent image area on the photoconductor plate. In this way, the electron elongate hole partially absorbs the ink. The graphic part is not sticky ink, the one-time transfer one color, multi-color document will need to overprint, and finally form a color image on the substrate. The HP Indigo digital press has good adaptability, and adopts an easy-to-operate electronic printing system. Using patented electronic ink, it can make all kinds of paper show excellent color images, and make the required graphics and writing data on paper. The original adaptability makes a perfect presentation.

Compared with traditional printing, HP Indigo electronic ink has the following features.

1. Image edge sharpening

Looking under the magnifying glass, it can be easily seen that the HP Indigo electronic ink image is sharper than the toner technology image, and the sharpness is more obvious at the edge of the dot or the font. The reason is that the two imaging methods and pigments are different. HP Indigo's imaging method is basically the same as traditional lithography, and printing using toner technology requires a high-temperature silicone oil to be attached to the toner to prevent the carbon powder from falling off. Therefore, in this thermal condition, the carbon The powder will be immersed in the edges of the image, causing the printed image to have poor edge accuracy regardless of the substrate. The HP Indigo electronic ink particles did not diffuse and the edges were sharp and sharp.

2. Fine ink particles

HP Indigo electronic ink can reach very small particles, only 1 ~ 2μm, the shape of the ink particles is more special, multi-antennary form, each particle has a relatively large surface area, when pressed, the particles adhere to each other, can be A very thin layer of ink forms on the surface of the substrate. Such small particles enable printing to achieve higher resolution and smoothness, as well as sharpened image edges. Compared with the toner color rendering technology, it has more advantages because the dry toner is easy to fly and spread in the air, making the working environment difficult to control.

3. Dots increase slightly, color consistency is good

Dot enlargement refers to the tendency of printed continuous lines to spread under embossing. Use HP Indigo electronic ink to effectively control dot gain. Because the hp Indigo press has an excellent correction function, it corrects the changing dots with the built-in dot gain compensation so that the printed dots can be within the required range. In addition, the HP Indigo Digital Press automatically adjusts the optimal density and dot size to ensure that each print has a consistent color effect.

4. Wide color gamut

The color gamut is used to describe the color boundaries that can be expressed in different color spaces. At present, in the printing color industry, PANTONE color is the most commonly used color guide, and it is a tool for people who use colors to say the same color. HP Indigo electronic ink color is the only digital printing color approved by PANTONE that can achieve 95% of PANTONE color gamut. HP Indigo electronic ink includes three main categories: standard CMYK color; HP 6-color configuration (added orange and violet); HP Indigo spot color. In order to improve the customer's printing value, HP Indigo has also developed electronic inks such as white, fluorescent, and special security.

5. Instant drying, strong adaptability

After printing, HP Indigo electronic ink adheres to the substrate without further drying because it only needs 100°C to dry, and the relatively low temperature does not cause the substrate to be damaged or bent by heat. HP Indigo's electronic ink can be applied to almost all materials. It can be printed on paper, plastics, textiles and many other materials. In addition to conventional printing, it will also find wider application in the field of printed electronics.

Digital printing indicates the direction of development of the printing industry, and the application of electronic ink has enabled digital printing to take off. The magical electronic ink technology is undergoing rapid changes along with the progress of the era. We have reason to believe that the HP Indigo digital printing machine is describing the bright future of the digital printing market with the superiority of its liquid electronic ink.
