“I think when a person becomes satisfied with everything that he has achieved, he stops growing. Until we are satisfied, we have something to strive for, and I want this state of ‘satisfaction’ to come to me as late as possible.”

When asked about what defines her professional fulfillment, Maria emphasized the importance of completing a project that resonates with the client and feels meaningful. She values the ability to create designs that are not only visually stunning but also practical and easy to understand for those who will live or work in the space. For her, the ultimate success is when a design speaks to everyone—not just professionals.

“I have many areas of activity and they are diverse because if I immerse myself in one thing, after a while I get bored. I can quickly switch to different tasks, being multi-tasking is a natural state for me.”

Through attending design exhibitions and engaging with the global design community, Maria has learned that inspiration is often unpredictable. In the early days of Dom-A, there wasn’t a specific source of inspiration, but over time, the team has developed a deep connection with the evolving trends and materials shaping the industry.

The design world is moving toward simplicity—clean lines, minimalistic forms, and eco-friendly materials. While luxury was once reserved for the elite, it's now becoming more accessible. Maria sees this shift as an opportunity to redefine what luxury means in the modern era, focusing on quality, sustainability, and inclusivity.

Despite this trend, Maria emphasizes that craftsmanship remains essential. Drawing from her experiences in Italy, particularly with Arte Veneziana, she believes that traditional skills must be preserved. The future of design depends on a balance between artistry and technology, ensuring that the human touch remains at the heart of every creation.
