There are two methods for the cleaning and drying of waste plastics: mechanical cleaning and manual cleaning. After some products are recycled, they can only be cleaned manually, and some products can be cleaned and dried by machinery.
The following are the specific operations for mechanical cleaning and drying.
Mechanical cleaning and drying are divided into batch type and continuous type.
1. Intermittent cleaning
First of all, the waste plastic is put into a water tank for washing, and a mechanical stirrer is used to remove loose dirt, such as sand, mud, etc., which will sink to the bottom of the tank; if the wood chips and the paper are large, they can be loaded. There is a special pump in the sedimentation tank to further purify; for the attachment of solid dirt, such as printing ink, adhesive coated paper label, can be manually picked out a larger piece, after smashing into the hot alkaline solution tank soaking For some time, they were then rubbed against each other by mechanical agitation to remove dirt.
Finally, the cleaned and shredded waste plastic is sent to a centrifuge for drying, and is dried in two steps of hot air until the residual moisture is ≤ 0.5%.
2. Continuous cleaning Waste plastics are transported by a conveyor belt into a chopper, coarsely crushed, and then sent to a bulk separation section where sand and gravel are submerged and periodically removed. The floating material is conveyed into the wet mill through the conveyor and then into the sedimentation tank. Everything that is heavier than water is separated, and even the smallest particles are no exception.
